I joined the Oslo fixed income team back in 2019 after graduating from BI Nydalen. A former colleague of mine recommended me to apply for the position, which led to a meeting with the manager at the time. The role sounded very interesting, and I got motivated by the challenge. The learning curve was steep, and even after seven years, there’s always something new to learn – which I enjoy. Today, my focus is on international institutional investors such as pension funds, hedge funds, long only funds as well as family offices.

As a credit broker, I work closely with the secondary market. A key part of my role is staying in regular contact with investors, understanding what they can and want to invest in, and connecting them with relevant trade ideas, our credit research team as well as companies. Since I cover international clients, the role also involves a fair amount of travel.

Alongside this, I’m also involved in primary transactions, where we help companies raise new funding — for example for acquisitions or refinancing. Here, my role is to market the deal to relevant investors.

By actively distributing trade ideas, marketing new issues, and providing market insight, I contribute to liquidity in the market, successful deal execution, and long-term client relationships. Ultimately, this supports the continued growth and competitiveness of ABGSC’s fixed income franchise.

I really enjoy being a part of the fixed income team at ABGSC. The team consists of people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, who are both fun and motivating to work with. There is a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, which is key when working on a sales desk. Furthermore, I appreciate working in an environment where colleagues are supportive and highly competent, yet the atmosphere remains informal – making it easy to ask questions, exchange ideas and develop both individually and as a team.

I joined ABGSC in August 2024, after nearly three years at another Nordic investment bank. Since joining ABGSC, I have been part of the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team, working with a wide range of clients across industries and geographies.

In DCM, we act as advisors helping clients access funding through the issuance of bonds and other debt instruments. The role is highly varied, and typically involves pitching, analysis, preparation of marketing materials, and structuring financing solutions to meet clients’ needs, whether that is related to debt refinancing, project financing, or supporting growth through, for example, acquisition financing.

What I value about working at ABGSC is being part of a strong and collaborative DCM team. We work closely together in a flat structure, which lowers the threshold for discussion and knowledge sharing across the team. The great team environment supports continuous development and makes day-to-day work both rewarding and enjoyable

I joined ABGSC in 2022 during the launch phase of the Private Banking initiative – a point in time when the offer was still being shaped, which was a big part of the attraction.
