“Women in Finance Day” at NTNU Trondheim

An update on the ongoing partnership between ABGSC and ABGSC Foundation – Women in Finance and Women in Finance NTNU.

The student organization Women in Finance NTNU at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (“NTNU”) arranged a “Women in Finance Day” on International Women’s Day on 8 March 2022. The event was first planned in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not held in person until this year. The event was held in Trondheim.
The “Women in Finance Day” included a daytime session, in which several firms, including ABG Sundal Collier (“ABGSC”), contributed with a stand at the university, as well as an evening session, in which students and the various firms, including representatives from the ABGSC Women in Finance Foundation, gathered for dinner at the Scandic Lerkendal.
Knut Brundtland, ABGSC Chairman and ABGSC Foundation – Women in Finance Board member, was the first speaker at the evening event. He talked about the importance of increasing the number of women in the finance industry. During the dinner, participants also heard interesting presentations from Arctic Securities, Gabler, FSN Capital and Norsk Venturekapitalforening. Students and the representatives of the firms also had the chance to mingle during the event.
The representatives from the ABGSC Foundation – Women in Finance, Knut Brundtland and Marianne Daae, were glad to have contributed to and attended the event, and were impressed with the student organization Women in Finance NTNU for hosting a successful and inspiring “Women in Finance Day” for all the participants.
