Earlier this month, the SASSE Women’s Network hosted a networking event for female students at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and representatives from the finance industry. The activity, which was sponsored by the ABGSC Women in Finance Foundation for its third consecutive year, aimed to encourage the participating students to pursue a career in finance by facilitating direct interaction with women working in the industry.
The networking event, which took place at Ascaro Rooftop in Stockholm, brought together a total of 27 bachelor and master students as well as three representatives from ABGSC. ABGSC’s representatives included Estelle De Geer and Ellinor Myrman of the Investment Banking team and Alice Beer of the Equity Research team. During the event, the attending students could gain a greater understanding of the variety of career opportunities within the finance industry, as well as receive some career advice, while listening to short presentations by the participating women from the finance industry.
Project Leader of SASSE Women’s Network Ebba Brandt commented that: “This year’s finance industry networking event for our members was a great success! We received very positive feedback from the participating students, who were highlighting many encouraging conversations with the representatives from ABGSC in attendance. We are very grateful for the opportunity to have organized this event for another year, as it provides us with inspiring insight to the career opportunities that exist within the finance industry.”
