On September 26th, Feminvest, Sweden’s largest hub for female entrepreneurs and investors, launched the first edition of their flagship “Fearless” event in Oslo. The event brought together some 170 participants for an evening of networking and other activities. The aim of the event was to help inspire, educate, and bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and members of the finance industry.
The Foundation was proud to sponsor the event. The Foundation’s Managing Director, Marianne Daae, held the closing speech on the topic of “How we can increase female interest and participation in the Scandinavian financial industry”, during which she discussed some of the current challenges to increasing female participation, while highlighting the opportunities.
In addition to the Foundation, other presenters included Vontobel, VISA, Nordnet, Sissener, Societe Generale, and the Oslo Business Region. The event included various speeches and mingling opportunities, as well as an investment pitch session.
Marianne Daae commented: “Thank you to Feminvest for organising such a great event! We are pleased to be part of Feminvest’s expansion into Norway, having previously supported their ‘Fearless’ event in Stockholm. We are impressed by Feminvest’s efforts to educate and motivate women in the world of finance, which we hope will contribute to greater female participation in the industry”.
