ABG Sundal Collier acted as financial advisor to Thunderful Group in the sale of the distribution businesses

On Tuesday 21 May 2024, Thunderful Group entered into agreements to divest the company’s remaining distribution businesses AMO Toys and Bergsala as well as related distribution services subsidiaries for an agreed purchase price amounting to SEK 634 million on a cash and debt free basis. The buyer is Bergsala NDP AB, a newly incorporated company owned by Thunderful Group’s largest shareholder and board member, Owe Bergsten. The transaction was approved at an extraordinary general meeting held on 26 June 2024.
The divestment marks the latest M&A transaction for Thunderful Group in which ABG Sundal Collier acts as financial advisor, having advised the company in the sale of Nordic Games Supply in April 2024 and Headup in March 2024. Following the divestment of the distribution businesses, Thunderful Group will become a pure-play games company centred around the three business segments Publishing, Game Development and Co-Development & Partner Services.
