Apoteka and Verdane today announced the agreement to enter a partnership, where Verdane joins Apoteka’s continued growth journey as a new majority investor through a significant capital raise as well as by partly acquiring existing shares.
Apoteka is the leading Danish online pharmacy service platform offering end-to-end operations solutions, providing full-service tech, marketing and fulfilment services to ApoPro Online Apotek, Denmark’s number one online pharmacy.
Verdane’s investment will support Apoteka’s ambition to grow its market share, attract new customers, develop its brand and logistics capabilities, and enable improved access to medicine and other pharmaceutical products in Denmark. Verdane will draw on its experience from its investment in Farmasiet, a full-service online pharmacy in Norway, and over 40 other digital consumer investments to support Apoteka’s growth.
The terms of the transaction are undisclosed, and closing is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
