ABG Sundal Collier acted as exclusive financial advisor to Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett AS in connection with the sale of a 50% stake in Kvarøy Smolt AS to Kobbvåglaks AS and Seløy Sjøfarm AS

On Monday 6 May 2024, Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett AS announced the establishment of a partnership with Kobbvåglaks AS and Seløy Sjøfarm AS for its wholly-owned subsidiary Kvarøy Smolt AS. Following the transaction, Kvarøy Smolt AS will be 50% owned by Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett AS and 50% owned by Kobbvåglaks AS and Seløy Sjøfarm AS. The transaction consisted of a combination of newly issued shares in Kvarøy Smolt AS and sale of secondary shares from Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett AS.
Kvarøy Smolt AS, comprised of two sizable flow-through smolt production facilities, has undergone upgrades and expansion investments of more than NOK 300 million over the last few years. The company has a current annual capacity of producing ~9 million smolt, with the potential to increase this to ~11 million.
