Axcel, the Nordic private equity firm, has announced its acquisition of a 75% majority stake in BullWall, a specialised provider of cybersecurity software addressing ransomware attacks. The founders of BullWall, Michael Slipsager (CEO) and Jan Lovmand (CTO), will retain a significant shareholding in the company.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Vejle, Denmark, BullWall is a fast-growing cybersecurity ransomware protection player. BullWall offers a unique software solution that addresses ransomware attacks, being an increasingly exigent threat for corporations and public institutions. The software acts as a last line of defence against ransomware when conventional cybersecurity systems fail, ultimately preventing devastating downtime costs. BullWall has established a successful market presence in the US and UK through strategic reseller partnerships.
The partnership between BullWall’s founders and Axcel is expected to support and accelerate the growth journey, with aligned ambitions towards becoming a leading global ransomware protection software provider.
