On 7 February 2019, KKR entered into an agreement to acquire an undisclosed stake in Söderberg & Partners. Söderberg & Partners is the biggest independent consultant and provider of insurance, investments and associated financial products in the Nordics, and has recently expanded to the Dutch market.
ABG Sundal Collier acted as sole financial adviser to KKR in the transaction.
About Söderberg & Partners
Söderberg & Partners was established in 2004 when a group of nine analysts, led by CEO Gustaf Rentzhog, left one of the Nordic region's large financial companies. Per-Olof Söderberg became principal shareholder and has since then participated actively in the business, including the position as Chairman of the Board.
The initial group of nine analysts has grown to approximately 1 800 employees in seven countries. The first business area was Life & Pension, closely followed by Non-life insurance. Since then, several business areas have emerged. The analysis department has grown and expanded to cover several new areas, and
Söderberg & Partners is today one of Sweden's leading advisors and intermediaries of insurance and financial products.
KKR is a leading global investment firm that manages multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate and credit, with strategic partners that manage hedge funds.
